Resistance is futile. Broadway's new musical celebration of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti is, to be honest, a little relentless, and its sketchy account of the Nigerian musician's life and political activism goes for uplift over information. Still, Bill T. Jones' eye-popping choreography — as earthy and free-form as most traditional Broadway dancing is precise and regimented — and the virtually nonstop barrage of Fela's effusive music are a joy to experience.
